Which period of the year is the best to travel in Cambodia?

The best period of the year to visit the Kingdom is the one between the end of October and the end of March, but even the rainy season grants some sunny weeks, especially in August and September. Usually the most of the showers occur between July and the end of September, and the sea in the coastal area could be choppy during that period.
Phnom Penh and Siem Reap have normally less rain all-year-round than, say, Sihanoukville or Koh Kong, and some places in the North and North-East can have lengthy periods of drought.
This is the tropic, after all; we can assure you can have fun in Cambodia any time of the year and in any place!

What to wear?

Well, Cambodia, thanks to its huge quantity of forests, has a cooler weather than most of its neighbors, say Thailand or Laos.The temperature can drop in January to a chilly 18C !
We suggest the travelers to bring light clothes with them, together with a cotton sweater and a good rain coat. A pair of good jogging shoes, a pair of good sandals and flip-flops will do it.
